Operating Season: April 20th - October 21st (weather permitting).Meeting Place: 20 minutes before tour time at the Cougar Mountain Reservations office in the Eagle Lodge or upon request The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Westin Resort and Spa, Pan Pacific Lodge, the Hilton, or the Four Seasons Resort.
Waivers: All guests are required to sign a liability waiver.
Children: Minimum age for dry-land training cart is 6 years old and min. 4 feet tall. Minimum children's age when a child is with a family is 2 years old.
Included in Tour Cost: Transport from Whistler Village to base area (10 minutes each way), interpretive kennel tour by professional musher, introduction to the sport of dog sledding with dry-land training cart ride (weather permitting) and a chance to meet up to 30 sled dogs and their puppies.
To Bring: Dress for the weather. Insect repellent recommended. To ride a cart, you must wear footwear suitable for hiking/walking. Long pants and long sleeves are suggested.
Backcountry Advisory: Backcountry sports activities are not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, suffer from back or neck pain, heart or respiratory distress. If in doubt, consult your physician prior to participation.
Cancellations: Tours cancelled within 24 hours of the tour, and "no shows", are subject to the full price of the tour.
